It is so sad that he had to be in this position in the first place. Honestly I have not a clue (no doubt you will get some advice on the matter from others on the forum).
Just to say isn't it a shame that someone doing their best for their pet's, has to go through this, because others do not hold, with the same high standards as your Dad.
Def do not think it is his fault.
We have some numpty dog owners where we live, they bark early hours, & they take them for walks (while they are in the house & dog is barking & threatening folk).
Not the dog's fault, the owners, stupidity.
But hey ho the way this country is....
