Really, someome should tell Petplan that then!!! Their pedigree premiums are way in excess of £8!!! I know someone who bought a kitten with free 4 weeks cover and the kitten developed a problem in that 4 weeks. They took out a full policy within the agreed time span and Petplan continued the cover as they said BUT they treated the policy as a new policy in respect of the excess so my friends had to pay £65 excess under the free cover period then another £70 for the continuation of the claim under the "new" policy!!!!! They now pay around £16 a month to cover that kitten. They would love to move but if they do so then they lose all cover for any illness even remotely connected with the initial claim.

I have several of our insured under Petguard and the total monthly premuim is only around £9 each for the pedigrees.
