Very very sorry to hear about this, hope you are managing as best as possible.

Like alot of people have said, i smell a rat with them deciding to have him cremated. Im shocked that they thought they could do that and not have any comebacks from it. Dont back down, in my opinion they dont have a leg to stand on, for all they knew you mightve wanted to bury him in your back garden. Do you mind telling us which vets it was?

Im appalled. Id also write to the papers if i were you, when something happens like this they should fully own up and take responsibility. Not brush it under the carpet, im glad people know about it through the forum though.

Even if they are being honest, the decision what happens to him is yours, how dare they decide for you. They should have been on the phone to you immediately, and asked where you wanted him to go.

Again, my thoughts go out to you. x
