Within moments the vet diagnosed Kidney Failure and said Bertie must be put down as he will soon be in a lot of pain and discomfort. The breath was a sign as was his slightly weaker back legs.

My poor mum and my whole family are shocked and so sad to lose him so suddenly.

I had no idea kidney failure takes hold so quickly
So sorry to hear about your poor boy.RIP Bertie.

I didn't think they could go so quick either but I guess it depends on the cat and I think some cats it can just come out of the blue.

I am sure you have lots of lovely memories to make you smile. We lost a boy suddenly at the beginning of this year,I was devastated but we have his pic in the living room and I always give him a smile every morning! Let yourselves grieve and then also remember the happier times,it really does help!
