They are responsible for the death of your pet and the best they can do is say you do not have to pay the bill ??
Of course you shouldn't have to pay the bill and you should also be looking at some form of compensation.
Plus the vet involved needs to be punished to stop this happening again!

good post Cat Crazy, i agree , they were in an awful hurry to have him cremated,must have something to hide they had no right to do that without your permission.
They must have a governing body and a complaints procedure,this absolutely disgraceful and underhanded.
I am very sorry for your loss under such tragic circumstances,i feel for you and your family.
