Are you sure he is torti and not tabby some people get them mixed up?

Does he have bits of orange or cream randomly on his body?

Tabby does not always mean striped and some people think that tabby's are tortie's simply because they are not striped.

Like other people have said a male tortie is extremely rare!

From what I have read they have no health issues other than being infertile which is obviously not an issue if he is to be neutered.
