It sounds suspicious to me too. Not only did they take it upon themselves to send him to the crematorium - they had no right to do that, but they have done it the same day.... something isn't right.

If I have this right, he was operated on today, didn't wake up and was sent to the crematorium today as well? I would give the crematorium a call in the morning asap and find out what has happened.
