We've tried to give Enzo treats before and he just looks at them and turns away. We've tried this with SEVERAL different brands and types... I think this is SO strange. Who doesn't like a treat??
Anyways... I attempted to give him a treat again this morning and he only sees it if you put it on the floor (he doesn't see it if it is in my hand
). He picked it up and tossed and turned it around in his mouth for about 5 seconds before actually crunching it once, then swallowing it. Strange. It was at this point that I realised I had NEVER heard him crunch food before???
He is fed wet food twice a day with dry food left out. I went in the kitchen and put his dry food down and listened closely, it appears that he picks it up and swallows it???
I picked him up and gave him a cuddle and my first instinct was his teeth! I opened his mouth and had a good look at his teeth, they all appear to be fine... healthy gums.
Is this normal? For cats to not chew their food and also for them to have almost 0 interest in treats???
