Re: is neutering/spaying always the best option????

I`m having the same problem with my 3 yr old.
although i only ever find he behaves badly when i`m handling him,i don`t live with my dog only come home twice a month, the whole time i`m away he`s fine.
Ive come to the conclusion he`s trying to protect me.
I will only have him neutered as a last resort.
At the moment i`m ignoring his bad behaviour and rewarding him when he`s good.which he is most of the time but he has his moments.I also find that when he is behaving badly towrads peopl he is backing off the whole time as if he is scared.
Very confusing
