Right verdict from the vet is he has a bad tummy bug. Poor lil fella wasn't very happy when he went in but even worse when he came out! He had his temperature taken, (he really didn't like this) was given an injection of anti-biotics adn and anti-nausea jab. He has more tablet antibiotics and some probiotics along with some special bland food for a few days.
On the up side he does seem a lot perkier this morning and was running round in a giddy mood.
He has to go back in on monday for a check up to make sure he's on the mend but he should be just fine.

I'm new to owning kittens too and one of mine had vomitting and diarrhea for a day (it is scary when it first happens).
The vet said her tummy felt a bit thick and she could have managed to eat something she wasn't meant to or chewed on something around the house (I wouldn't be surprised cos out of my two she is the most nosey and even tries sniffing around our dinner plates - naughty!!). The vet gave her an antibiotic injection as she had some mild cat flu symptoms and also gave us some special bland food - Royal Canin - sensitivity control wet food to feed for a couple of days until it cleared up - and it did.
