Unhappy Advice - should I bring cat home....?

I have a dilemma - as you see from my previous post my cat got hit by a car on Sunday and has been in teh vets on a drip ever since.... fractured pelvis and undisplaced spinal fracture although has reflexes in both back legs..... so question is went to see her today with kids - she is okay, purring nad happy when we were there (althugh eyes are full).... she is on a drip. vet says it is a waiting game... he xpresses her wee every few hours, but nothing else.... so, in the half hour we were there, we managed to get her to drink a bit, eat a bit and a bit of tlc.... which obviously the nurses can't do due to other committments.

The vet says it is quite easy to express urine!!!! So, questions, why can't I bring her home.... for the 3/4 days of waiting... then I will know and be able to make a more informed decision. I have a cage, and warmth and quiet areas... I am "medically minded", although not qualifed.....

Also, the vet is a 45 minute drive away, adn they come to our town twice a week.... What do you think....?

C x
