Oh! that is awfull, but can I tell you...cats know when they are going to die I think. My cat Fluffy did the same thing and we didnt find her for about a week. she was in my shed laying on the work bench, same as your cat all curled up. My mate who worked in our local vetenary centre came round and looked at her on the way home from her work. She said there are no obvious signs of injury and many cats just curl up and die peacefully in their sleep, she said cats sometimes know they are going to die and just do this. If it had been an accident you would of seen some sort of injury/trauma site.
So at least you know your cat didnt suffer in any way, or he would NOT have been curled up.He is at peace now, why dont you buy a nice rose bush and plant it in the garden in his remberance. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
