Waxworms have a high fat content, so they are best given as a treat.

If I 'm quite honest, I hadn't heard of the Pictus Gecko before, so I did a quick search and from what I can find, they are insectivores, so the waxworm won't do him any harm.
I would recommend either crickets or locusts as a staple though.
