Some chins are never going to like handling but with lots of patience and sitting chatting to them poppimng your hands in the cage and letting them get used to you then most chins do eventually learn to trust you . The cardboard tube is a good tip from Caroline if you find them difficult to get back in the cage
I would def suggest more 'toys' to keep them stimulated and help those teeth worn down. Washed and dried pine cones go down a
treat as do chubes which can be hung on the side of the cage with curtain wire ( removing the white plastic first) A big favourite with chins are apple, willow , hazel or hawthorn branches , washed and dried ( make sure they have not been treated with any pesticides though)
Have a look here for reasonable priced chews and toys , all our profits go towards the chins in our care
