This is just a chinese whisper! JWB and sister company RC are still produced in exactly the same way they always have. Still the same factories, staff, formula and still made independantly from parent company (Crown pet foods who are owned by Mars).

Pedigree do not 'own JWB', its just Mars bought over both of these and many pet food companies. So pedigree and JWB have the same parent company. And this is old news, happened quite a few years ago.

To the OP, JWB is a really great cat food, give it a week... If you still don't see an improvement then it may be time to choice another premium cat food.

Three of my cats are on JWB, and their stools are very firm. But it could be that it just doesn't agree with your kitten.
